How you put a smile on my face
And the warmth of your embrace
I wished those times would last forever
But I let it go to waste

The way I felt with you by my side
And when I left you, how I cried
The tears seemed to flow unending
It crushed my heart until it died

How I didn’t play the cards I had
How I couldn’t tell you why I was sad
I could kick myself over and over
The unfairness made me so mad

How it would have been so perfect
But the sickness stole it from me
