You will never learn to stop falling down
Until you live tough without giving up
You will never learn to start speaking up
Until you stand up without shutting up
So is this what I get for learning to speak?
For opening my eyes?
For digging in deep?
Is this what I get for knowing what’s real?
For speaking the truth?
The light will blind the ignorant mind..
What would it take to not look away?
To open your eyes and stare in the face
The truth will shine on the open mind
Just open your eyes..
What you don't know
Won't leave a scar
What you don't know
Hasn't killed you so far
But then you don’t know
Just who you are..
