Before the storm, it’s not calming To me, it’s actually alarming And the aftermath leaves us bleeding With no reason for me to try pleading But I know this wound will heal Scab up, but eventually peel And I hope it won’t leave you a scar And I hope I’ll still have a star So as I move on, I can wish That you can find another fish Who can give you the things that you need So you’ll never, ever have to bleed And so I can have something beautiful in sight To gaze at on a sleepless night To find the calm before the alarm And know that it’ll be alright As long as that star is in my sky I'll know that this is right
